It's Been Over a Week Since No Kings 3.0!
Thank you to everyone who came out to ALL locations!
On March 28th, something shifted.
For the four previous national protest days, we have held ground at the four corners. We've shown up in the rain, the cold, and the uncertainty. But this No Kings, we wanted to do something different, and with our NY-17 Coalition partners, we did.
We gave the day to the next generation.
25 young organizers, from high school through their early 20s, met in the middle of the Tappan Zee Bridge. From both sides of the Hudson, they walked toward each other carrying a banner they designed together. They unfurled it at the midway point, and then they stood there in community and talked about why they got organized.
Anti-ICE protests. Gun violence advocacy. Speaking out against endless wars. Every single one of them had a personal reason for showing up, and every single one of them chose to show up.
After the bridge, they came down to their respective sides and joined the rest of us. They gave speeches. They talked about what they see for the future, and we were so honored to stand beside them.
In Nyack, approximately 1,500 people showed up. In Tarrytown, 3,000 came out. In Nanuet and Mount Kisco people showed up - thousands in total. All across the US, over 8 million people stood up to say, "enough is enough."
All across the district, it was clear that we may not have been in the same places, but we were together.
This day would not have been what it was without the extraordinary people who shared the stage and the day with us.
Thank you to our phenomenal MC Pete Dominick, who held it all together with exactly the right energy. To Nicole Hines, Brooke Malloy, and Pastor Everett 'Preach' Newtown, thank you for your leadership and your powerful voices.
To our organizers, Act on Pride, Proyecto Faro, Citizen Action, Lower Hudson Valley DSA, and Indivisible Yorktown, for giving us actionable things to do once we get home.
And last but certainly not least, to the Singing Resistance of Rockland, who gave us a live performance of Tom Chapin's new song "No Kings" and led us through powerful songs that gave us hope when we first heard them in Minnesota.
We were also deeply honored to share the day with organizations that set up tents and brought their work directly to the people: Act on Pride, Lower Hudson Valley DSA, Food Not Bombs Nyack, Stand Up 17, Food and Water Watch NY, Citizen Action, Stony Point Center, and Plus One for America.
There is so much good work happening in this county. Saturday was proof of that.
Here's what we want you to take with you:
Protest matters, but it is only one piece of the equation.
The groups you met on Saturday need your help. Your neighbors need connection. Your block might need a mutual aid effort, and yes, sharing a garden still counts as good work, especially as food prices keep climbing.
Meeting this moment means all of it. The rallies and the everyday acts. The big coalitions and the neighbor knocking on your door.
We had three major calls to action, and we need you to take them on. We've completely revamped our Action Hub so you can find all of these groups, their work, and how to get involved, in one place.

What's next? That's a great question!
SAVE THE DATE: MAY DAY - May 1st
The next big day of action is coming, and this one hits different.
May Day is a national economic action: no work, no shopping.
A reminder of who actually keeps this country running and what it looks like when we withdraw our participation.
Details are still coming together, but mark your calendar now. More information will be in your inbox soon.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for staying in it. Thank you for letting us take some much needed rest for the past week.
Now let's get to work!
