Lawler town hall SUNDAY April 27th
rally instructions
Hi All,
We are so grateful for your patience and support as we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to plan a safe and peaceful rally this Sunday, April 27th, at Clarkstown South High School - 31 Demarest Mill Rd, West Nyack, NY. These things take time and we appreciate everyone’s commitment to showing up and making this powerful moment happen.
Here’s everything you need to know for the day:
Arrival Time:
Please plan to arrive by 3:00 PM to settle in, grab a sign (we’ll have plenty!), and head to the rally space - blue flags will mark the areas where we will be and there will be event Marshals in blue vests to help get you where you need to go.
The rally will be a peaceful protest along with key speakers covering topics of concern: Immigration, Medicaid/Medicare, Education, Gun Violence Prevention and more.
Parking:
Rally Only: Park in the back parking lot on campus or along side streets. Please respect neighbors and do not block driveways.
Town Hall Attendees: Use the main parking lot, marshals will be there to assist. If that lot fills up please use the back lot - Both lots will be open.
A Few Important Guidelines:
The outside rally is our space for speeches, signs, and solidarity.
If you have a ticket to attend the town hall, we encourage you to go inside, listen closely, and ask respectful questions. The rally will end in time for you to attend the Town Hall
DO NOT engage with counter-protesters. If anyone approaches or escalates, stay calm and report it to a marshal in a blue vest.
This is a peaceful demonstration. Please remain respectful at all times and follow the guidance of our organizers and marshals.
Your energy, presence, and dedication make this possible. Let’s show up, speak out, and stand strong together.
See you Sunday!
In solidarity,
Indivisible Rockland and the CD17 Coalition
